Children Who Learn Together Educate Us All
Since 2015, The Torit Foundation granted $500,000+ to smart, capable students, from lower-income families, to attend Torit Montessori in downtown Boston.
Our Goal for Academic Year 2022-2023 is $225,000

Our Mission
The Torit Foundation is dedicated to the crucial work that calls all of us in every American community - to unite rather than divide. In the Torit community, we unite and educate students from around the world and around the corner in the Montessori tradition of peace, unity and service, regardless of the student’s economic means, race, ethnicity, or country.
A key principal that unites us is the American promise of Equality of Opportunity, especially for children. For the past 50 years, a divide has been growing. Some call it a divide between rich and poor. The Torit Foundation views it as a divide between those comfortable enough to raise a child with a full breadth of opportunity and those who cannot afford to live in communities that provide decent education, thus seeing the promise of equal opportunity slip out of reach.
We all suffer as Americans if equal opportunity does not remain our way of life. If we lose our connections to each other, we lose our sense of shared civic purpose.
Your gift of education to The Torit Foundation supports a child's education at Torit Montessori while supporting a classroom of children whose diversity is broadened, which in turn supports an America that can continue to pledge that it is working toward the ideal of equality of opportunity for every child.
“I cannot overemphasize the import of Montessori education thus far in her life. It has been an oasis of stability, caring, learning, sharing and joy that is and has been, in my opinion, simply crucial in emotional and intellectual development.” - Friend of Family of Scholarship Recipient
